GMDVP Services

GMDVP offers a range of services to individuals and the community.

Foremost is our direct work with victims and survivors. For more information on the direct services available, click on GMDVP Client services.

Equally important is the work GMDVP conducts to raise awareness – helping victims/survivors to self-identify the abuse in their lives, educating the service providers they will encounter so the service providers respond appropriately, and educating the GLBT community so it can provide support and acceptance. Additionally, GMDVP advocates for policy reform to ensure that GLBT victims of domestic violence have access to equal government-funded services and to ensure that government policies on domestic violence are written or re-written to be inclusive of _all_ domestic violence victims regardless of their gender identity or sexual orientation.
